Committee Workflow

Committee Workflow Manager Overview

Committee Workflow Manager is a flexible and efficient application and proposal processing solution for academic institutions. Faculty committee members and professional staff can use Committee Workflow Manager to streamline the process of collecting and assessing internal and external submissions as simple as event registrations and as complex as new course proposals and academic job applications.

Convenient Data Collection

Committee Workflow Manager allows administrators to define the information to be collected in their preferred format, as well as the documentation that must be provided. Collecting feedback is made easy through web forms that support multiple versioning, tracked changes, and reader comments. Applicants can be prompted to provide specific details, such as named references or other external evaluations, and Committee Workflow Manager will automatically solicit the references, which can be completed via webform or returned via email attachment to the Mentor system, which then files the attachment with the correct application

Seamless Peer Review Management

A time-saving reviewer workflow is built in so that administrators can assign reviewers to applications and reviewers can provide their ratings directly. Applications can be moved through a series of review levels with appropriate reviewers assigned for each. Automated tools facilitate communication with applicants individually or in groups.

Cross-Campus Use

Designed for easy configuration and multi-purpose use, Committee Workflow Manager can be used in many ways, including but not limited to:

  • Event proposals from Resident Advisors (RA’s), which can be vetted by the professional staff and approved events tracked to provide summary statistics.
  • Applications for new courses, research grants, sabbaticals, and other items for consideration by faculty committees.
  • Academic job applications easily managed through online submissions and ability for applicants to name referees, generating automatic requests to referees for their recommendations.
